Unknown 1936 Ford
This unidentified 36 Ford convertible was styled to perfection by Harry Westergard.
The long headlight pods where molded to the front fenders at a very low level. a set of small parkinglights where also set onto the front fenders at the same spot that once used the horn grilles. A set of 1941 Oldsmobile bumpers was used both front and rear and fit the car absolutely perfect. The taillights look to be 1942 Ford units mounted low on the fenders.
The 1938 LaSalle grille fits perfectly on the modified hood and molded in grille support. Harry created a set of sollid hoodsides for an smooth side profile. At the rear a licence plate frame was flush fitted with the body and the plate istelf was set behind a piece of glas.
Windshield was chopped mildly and a wonderful padded top was created. The runningboards on this 36 Ford where left in place but at the rear a set of 36 Ford fender skirts where used to lower the profile. The car had a slight speedboat stance and ran blackwall tires with aftermarket Caddillac style hubcaps.
