The photo above shows Bill’s 53 Oldsmobile in its second version. The original more traditional styled padded top had made place for one of Gaylords trademark wrap-around rear window tops.
Bill’s own 1953 Oldsmobile custom was a good way to show the customers what Gaylord could do. The interior was beautifully upholstered in a wild pattern of white and read tuck&roll panels. And the new wrap-around rear window top was a huge success with future customers.
The car was first built as a more mild custom with stock taillights and a chopped windshield.
Later Bill added the 1954 Packard taillights.
