Dick Bertolucci 1938 Chevy
Dick Bertolucci 1938 Chevy
Dick Bertolucci built this car for himself in the late ‘40’s. At first he used it for racing and did pertty good with his GMC engine. Later Dick’ and his father finished it as a full custom as you can see it in the picture above taken in 1954 at the Bonneville Salt flats.
The top was chopped with a perfect flowing top. The running boards where narrowed. The headlights where lowered and molded to the front fenders, new hood and hood sides created, and a Packard grille and custom bumpers where added. A few years ago when Rod & Custom did an article on Dick, a picture of the 38 in race outfit was shown. And somebody recognized the car. The car was still around, but in not to good shape. Dick was able to buy it, and plans to do a full restoration as soon as he can find the time.
